ItaloWorld Meetups
The ItaloWorld Meetup is a dynamic extension of the Da Vinci Learning Centre, dedicated to bringing Italian culture to life in a community setting. Since our inception in September 2023, we have been committed to providing a platform where the beauty and diversity of Italian culture can be explored and celebrated. At ItaloWorld, our objective is clear: to immerse our attendees in the Italian way of life. Each Meetup event is thoughtfully designed to provide insights into various facets of Italian culture. From cuisine and history to art and traditions, our gatherings are a gateway to understanding and appreciating Italy's rich heritage. We believe that the best way to learn about a culture is to experience it, and our Meetups provide just that, an experiential journey into the heart of Italy.
Our events are held on Saturday each week, 2.00pm to 3.30pm at the Broadbeach Library, followed by a social gathering at The Patio in Pacific Fair from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Please note that the venue offers plenty of free parking. This setting provides the perfect backdrop for our community to come together, share experiences, and learn Italian language and culture. Our Meetups are inclusive and open to all, inviting people of all backgrounds and knowledge levels to join in the celebration of Italian culture.
We are enriching our offerings in early 2024, with the introduction of a bilingual Italo Voices club. This new initiative aligns perfectly with our mission, providing a forum for members to enhance their communication skills while deepening their cultural understanding. The Italo Voices club will be a valuable addition to our Meetups, offering a structured environment for practicing and refining presentation skills in a real-life context. Our workshops will be held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.
In the spirit of fostering a deeper connection to Italian culture and language, the ItaloWorld Meetup, held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday and Saturday of every month, is introducing an enriching addition. We have now launched a bilingual Italo Voices club, adding an educational layer to our vibrant gatherings. This new feature is set to enhance the cultural and linguistic experience for all attendees, offering a unique opportunity to practice presentation skills in an Italian-English bilingual environment, thereby enriching their cultural understanding and language proficiency even further.
